Back in September, Tim Newton was awoken by an unfamiliar noise outside his home in Alaska, which led him to witness a truly miraculous scene. To his amazement, a family of Lynx was scampering gracefully across his deck and lawn. These magnificent creatures were playful, agile, and entirely captivating as they frolicked in the crisp Alaskan air. Tim knew that seeing even a single Lynx was rare, so encountering an entire family was an extraordinary moment he would never forget.

The visit was brief, and Tim did not expect to ever see them again. A wildlife sighting of a Lynx is uncommon, and a family of eight appearing on one’s deck is almost unheard of. However, fate had another surprise in store for the Newton family.
Two months later, on a snowy November morning, Tim’s wife, Cathy Newton, awoke to a familiar sound outside. She rubbed her eyes in disbelief as she peered through the window. To her utter amazement, mama Lynx had returned with her seven kittens. Just like the previous visit, they were energetically flying across the deck and lawn, playing with unmatched joy. Cathy quickly grabbed her camera to record the rare and heartwarming moment, still finding it hard to believe her eyes.

“It was fascinating to watch mama Lynx playing with her kittens as much as they were playing themselves,” Cathy shared with Love Meow. “Five kittens were on the deck, energetically playing alongside their mother, while the remaining two were engaged in playful roughhousing in the yard. Tim wasn’t home at the time, but I managed to capture several videos of this adorable family! Their energy and cuteness were simply irresistible.”

The deck had a thin layer of snow, adding a magical backdrop to the scene. After some energetic playtime, the Lynx family left behind a trail of large, perfectly shaped paw prints scattered across the snowy deck. This subtle mark of their visit left the Newtons in awe, reminding them of the fleeting beauty of nature’s wonders.
