When the local shelter could not take her in, Heidi contacted Stephanie Grantham, president of Sparkle Cat Rescue, who immediately agreed to help. Soon after, foster volunteer Cindy opened her home to the little kitten.

On her way to the foster home, Delilah kept her eyes fixed on Stephanie through the carrier. The moment she was released, she began to “chat” endlessly as if telling her life story. Stephanie scooped her up, and Delilah instantly melted into her arms, purring nonstop. Though she needed a bit of medical care for her eye and was due for a bath, her gentle and loving nature shone through immediately.

Cindy prepared a warm, cozy space for the little calico to settle. Delilah wasted no time in making herself at home, soon curling into a perfect loaf on her new bed. Within a day, she was already purring, kneading her blanket, and following Cindy around, asking for more cuddles whenever she stepped out of the room.
