Because Smudge was so small, standard cones were comically huge, so the team fashioned a protective collar from a paper cup—perfectly sized and perfectly practical. It worked. Back in foster, Smudge’s appetite soared, her play returned, and her confidence grew with each safe nap and silly zoomie.
